Promo video for The Near Dark Over Europe Tour 2016
Ruins left afire, lives set burning in the wake... Of selfish desire and of love that was mislaid... There are wounds that don't easily heal, About the life, about the lie... All your charm rendered still, you're not the only one who knows you ran... Coward, obscure, a fallen man, about the life...
When it seems like we can't fall, when it feels like we could live or die... It's your heart in this moment breathing into what I dream. In my heart it is this feeling in my nightmares while I scream...
In the spring of 2005, the popular goth/rock band The Last Dance recorded their latest album Once Beautiful. That summer, the band embarked on a two month US tour to support the album... a film crew captured the experience. Almost Beautiful is a documentary film that exposes the roller coaster highs and lows of a band struggling to survive in a scene that some feel is dying.
Make me beautiful again and feel like I'm special still, and remind me how to smile and feel like diamonds. Make me beautiful again, dry my tears and vanish them. Whisper in my ear as I run away and hide, pretend to be lovely...
The official music video for the track Once Beautiful from the album released in 2005 with Dancing Ferret Discs. Featuring Jeff Diehm, Rick Joyce, Peter Gorritz and Tom Coyne.
Whispers in Rage is the 2003 album by The Last Dance. 13 Tracks. Conflict: A state of disharmony between incompatible or antithetical persons, ideas, or interests… a clash… a psychic struggle, often unconscious, resulting from the opposition or simultaneous functioning of mutually exclusive impulses, desires, or tendencies… a whisper in rage. There is an expression, in which a true musician ignites solely through his emotions. He is wise of his surroundings that profoundly affect his daily life. He sees life not through rose-colored glasses, but through a veil of expression. He experiences mental and physical injury, which leaves no other choice but to manipulate emotions through music. The musician, like any artist, cannot exist - cannot survive - cannot grow without the healing salve of expression. Not until then, will he feel the healing that beckons. For The Last Dance, writing Whispers In Rage was not a choice, it was release. ..
Watch me now, watch me, closely as I whisper and take you, deeper and deeper into your dream...
